SPURS V MANCHESTER CITY - PREVIEW
First plays second. Manchester City's first ‘proper’ test in their Premier League title quest comes at White Hart Lane. And both teams have been banging them in with some style. Which pleases Richard and myself for our #giftofagoal art challenge. So I think it's only fitting that full respect is due to Spurs. Yes Kane is out, but so is De Bruyne. Son is on fire (pun intended) and Sterling is a totally different player this season. Shame on you to all the haters.
City have just stuttered in their immaculate start to the season with their three all draw to Celtic in the Champions League. Will that affect their confidence come match day?
Pep Guardiola in his pre match press conference said: “After six games what I saw of Tottenham, with Liverpool, they are one of the best teams in the Premier League in this moment. We need a good performance to get anything – if we are so-so? No chance.”
Supporting Manchester City come with a health warning, which is why we sing ‘we never win at home and we never win away’ because we have been there numerous times. Yes, times are a bit different now but you can never forget your past like you should never rely on the future. Spurs have often stabbed us with that spiky birds claw.
Saying that I'm going with a 2-1 win for City. Of course! Always believe :) #CTWD
