WINNERS VS LOSERS - #GIFTOFAGOAL SEASON PREDICTIONS

#giftofagoal Season Predictions

Football artists work in mysterious ways. That's why we're bringing you our 2016/17 Premier League predictions 2 months into the season during this (yet again, not so) thrilling international break.

So, while Southgate waxes lyrical about yet more mediocrity, here's the season's winners and losers as predicted by Richard, Matt, Matt, Lesley, Van and Hanna.

(Or, watch our predictions here...)

Richard Swarbrick (Spurs):

1. Arsenal

2. Spurs

3. Manchester City

4. Liverpool

-

18. Leicester City

19. Sunderland

20. Stoke City

"My wish list is that Spurs win the league - 3 of City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, United, West Ham relegated.

I think City will fall away like they did last season - I'm not buying this whole "Pep effect" thing.

I think any one of 5 teams could win the league and to me there isn't an outstanding favourite."

Well, that's optimistic. Richard being our ONLY artist to predict an Arsenal win... Intrigued? Course you are, there's no football this weekend and you've nothing better to do.

Let's check in on the rest:

Matt Pascoe (Chelsea):

1. Manchester City

2. Chelsea

3. Arsenal

4. Manchester United

-

18. Stoke

19. Sunderland

20. Hull

:/

"Funny trying to predict two months in! Some team's are having bad runs but I think there is enough about those teams in my top four to get those places and I think there are two shoe-ins for relegation in the three I've said to go down!"

We hear you Matt, is anyone's predictions the same now as they were in August?

What's Matt V got to say on the matter?

Matt Vieira (Arsenal):

1. Manchester City

2. Arsenal

3. Liverpool

4. Manchester United

-

18. Swansea

19. Hull

20. Sunderland

Matt's still adjusting his body-clock, but that seems fairly reasonable with Sunderland having only taken a whole 2 points from 7 games.

Second vote for City too...

Van Hong (Liverpool):

"Ugh. I hate predictions. I'm including a wish list to take the sting out of making realistic predictions..." Cheers Van, just flaunt the rules! (I'll allow it)

1. Manchester City

2. Liverpool

3. Spurs

4. Arsenal

-

20. Stoke

19. Middlesborough

18. Burnley

Extra: wishlist:

1. Spurs

2. Liverpool

3. Manchester United

4. Hull

-

20. Middlesborough

19. Bournemouth

18. Chelsea

Somehow, the panel is unconvinced that Chelsea will face relegation *cough* Costa *cough* Fabregas *cough*.

Lesley Ross (Manchester City):

1. Manchester City

2. Tottenham

3. Manchester United

4. Arsenal

-

Lesley gave us some additional league placing:

5. Liverpool

6. Everton

7. Chelsea

-

18. Sunderland

19. Middlesborough

20. Burnley

Seems like Pep Power is winning over our other #giftofagoal artists, Ricky! (Even if Lesley is our resident City artist...)

Hanna Jones (Manchester United):

1. Manchester City

2. Manchester United

3. Spurs

4. Arsenal

-

18. Burnley

19. Hull

20. Sunderland

City over United? What, what?!! No but seriously, Mou's still repairing that LVG damage.

In Conclusion

That's 5 votes for City and 1 for Arsenal. Pep > Wenger. Job done.

Basically Pep's unlimited wallet and managerial X Factor is winning us over.

There's optimism for United and even Spurs but can United bury their past manager demons (and Rooney) and can Spurs actually step up beyond a very plucky, energetic team and start to punish with big results?

Will Arsenal finish 4th? Probably.

Will Liverpool entertain us and drop off? Most likely.

Will Costa win the golden boot of red cards? Definitely.

What now?

We'll check back after 21 May and see how our artists faired.

Until then, remember to sponsor the #giftofagoal effort here
